This is a Direct Hire post. I never took the time to really figure those out. But if this seems like a fit for you, you could probably work out what that means in about five minutes:
The Researcher or Policy Analyst will monitor religious freedom conditions in assigned countries and develop policy recommendations for the U.S. government to advance freedom of religion or belief abroad; evaluate and report on events or opportunities that could be effective inflection points for achieving implementation of USCIRF-recommended policy; draft annual report materials, briefing materials, policy related reports, and testimony; provide project management oversight; and build and maintain extensive contacts with relevant policy counterparts.
They go on to break the duties down into four components, including travel. You need an advanced degree in a related area.
Possess an advanced degree in a relevant field to the position requirements (candidates with an undergraduate degree only will not be considered);
For the Policy Analyst position, have at least two (2) years' substantive experience as demonstrated by a sustained record of accomplished, analytical writing, and other professional achievements that are related or relevant to USCIRF's work;
Strong research skills, particularly those applied in a work setting (i.e. not only university coursework);
Ability to proactively develop, synthesize, and articulate effective and actionable policy recommendations;

They are looking for someone to do public-facing writing, including online stuff.
The Branch of Communications and Digital Services is responsible for improving the public's experience with the National Wildlife Refuge System by deploying a strategic interpretive/communications plan across digital and in-person channels. Functions include campaign planning, writing, editing, graphic design and layout, managing national web content, social media, video and photo production, and producing e-newsletters, brochures, and special events.
To that end, they are looking for at least one year of experience:
independently researching and verifying factual information to write or edit engaging social media or web content, such as reports, manuals, articles, scripts, etc.; writing internal newsletters for employees and report to headquarters consolidating submissions from various components; obtaining clearances from appropriate program office prior to publication; developing and presenting factual information to intended audience.
The questionnaire is a good place to look if you are trying to figure out if you have transferable experience. I believe this posting requires a cover letter.

Here’s an entry level position with the museum.
The purpose of this position is to assist in the day-to-day management of the Visitor Experience and Docent programs, including customer service, coordinating support services, scheduling and coordinating volunteer visitor experience and docent program staff.

The minimum qualification here is one year of a related graduate degree, but if you can show how your grad school experiences translate to the admin skills they’re looking for, that would probably be a good move. Ideal Candidate Statement: The Executive Secretariat is seeking a professional who is self-reliant and motivated in providing guidance to staff and have expertise in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation to effectively compose, edit and write correspondence.
They are looking for experience editing for grammar and tone and so on. You can also qualify with grad degree. This position is open at several levels, so take a look and see which one you fit. It doesn’t seem to require subject matter expertise but some questions suggest they are thinking of this as a quasi-PR job. Which I guess it would be anyway.
